In order for the needs of energy consumers and the pressure on our resources and environment to converge, communication is a must. In the future, we envision a scenario where the consumer, real time, can become aware of his power consumption, carbon footprint and at the same time be told the price of that power at that specific point in time, thereby influencing consumption patterns through price signals.
